Facilities Master Planning Process
A Facilities Master Plan looks at both the physical needs of our schools and the vision of our community to guide long-term improvements. To do this, the planning team collected both quantitative and qualitative data.
Quantitative data focuses on the measurable aspects of each campus, including building conditions, site layout, safety, accessibility, space needs, and infrastructure such as plumbing, electrical, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This information helped identify where updates, renovations, or new construction are needed. It was gathered through site assessments, input from District leaders and maintenance teams, and enrollment reviews. The results include short- and long-term facility needs, infrastructure upgrades, site plans, and cost projections.
Qualitative data captures the perspectives of students, families, staff, and community members. Through visioning workshops, meetings with principals and staff, and community engagement sessions, the planning team learned what matters most to the people who use our schools. This feedback helped connect educational goals, teaching strategies, and the desired learning environment, resulting in campus-specific challenges and opportunities as well as District-wide recommendations that reflect the community’s priorities.
By combining this information, the Facilities Master Plan provides a clear roadmap for ensuring that our schools are safe, modern, and designed to support student success for years to come.
